See How We Run

Running Fast: When Foot Locker came to Junction City - Geary County to explore location options, naturally we put our best foot forward. Our EDC is committed and creative in closing the right deal for new business and industry with tailored incentives and strategic assistance. The EDC made sure Foot Locker hit the ground running with its fast-moving distribution and corporate service center.

Running Strong: Accelerated startups are not the finish line for the EDC. Our goal isn’t just getting business here, it is growing business here. We facilitate success through can-do commitment, skilled expertise and creative assistance on tap every day to help our businesses thrive. In a global market, your targets are moving  twenty four-seven, and so are we.

Running Non-Stop: The EDC is a ready resource for new or existing companies, for relocation or expansion, for any size company or any sector. Our businesses are success stories, from Foot Locker reaching markets and attaining productivity goals faster and more expeditiously, to Advanced Call Center Technologies, which started  with only 50 employees before quickly growing to a staff of 400, with another 300 jobs planned in the near future.
Our EDC slashes red tape and customizes incentive packages, drawing from local, regional, and state funds for maximum impact- for new businesses or existing business expansion. Our services are comprehensive, from site selection to commercial property listings, from data to demographics to small business development.

Running Better Altogether: The EDC structure is designed for speed and collaboration.   The advisory board is appointed by City and County Commissioners, the Junction City First Board, and the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. That collaborative power is strengthened as part of Junction City - Geary County’s comprehensive economic coalition led by the Chamber of Commerce, which also includes the efforts of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Membership Enhancement Division and the Military Affairs Council..

Together, we’re ready to go the distance for you.
