New Gordmans set to open its doors in Junction City

A new Gordmans is set to opens its doors in Junction City.

The apparel and home decor retailer is set to join the Junction City community and will debut a new department store beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16. at 437 E. Chestnut Street. The celebration will continue throughout a grand opening celebration weekend through Aug. 19. 

The public is welcome to join Gordmans — a division of Stage Stores — associates and representatives from Stage Stores, the city of Junction City, Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce members and Junction City High School staff at the ribbon cutting ceremony before stepping inside the new 27,000-square-foot store to discover the fun finds and exciting deals on name brand apparel and home decor.

During the celebration weekend, Gordmans will offer guests exciting deals, giveaways and other fun surprises. The first 100 guests in line each day during the celebration weekend will receive a free gift while supplies last. Throughout the weekend, Gordmans guests who apply and are approved for a Gordmans credit card will receive an additional 20 percent off their first day’s purchases. The standard first-day discount for new cardholders is 15 percent off.

Additionally, as part of Gordmans’ commitment to the community of Junction City, Gordmans is partnering with Junction City High School and will donate $2,500 to the school. Gordmans’ donation will directly support the school’s academic booster club, which funds academic programs and academic recognition activities that reward honor roll students. Junction City High School Principal Melissa Sharp will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony to accept Gordmans’ donation through a check presentation.
